We have a diverse range of volunteer opportunities that contribute towards our mission. They include:

Helping build homes on our construction sites
Working in our warehouses
Securing donations for Habitat ReStore
At our ReStores
Becoming a Board Member
Deconstructing home kitchens, washrooms, and major appliances for donation (coming soon!)
Critical Repairs - Helping with home renovations (coming soon!)

The minimum age to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity PEI is 16 years of age, with parental permission.

Yes, we have volunteer opportunities from Monday to Saturday.
We have flexible shifts that last from 4 to 8 hours.

We currently do not have evening shifts available.

We are thankful for your time, energy, and passion.
For our ReStore, we do require Volunteers to commit to 1-2 shifts. After this time, a commitment of 10 shifts over 3 months is required.

For our build site, we require 8-hour shifts, but volunteer positions are free of a minimum continuous time commitment.

If you do require a letter confirming your volunteer hours, we request that you complete 40 volunteer hours with Habitat PEI.

We have volunteer opportunities available throughout the Charlottetown Area at our ReStore and active build sites across the Island.

When you volunteer at a ReStore or build site you will need to wear CSA-approved safety shoes or boots (with the green triangle).

We have all of the necessary PPE available for our volunteers, as your safety is our number one priority.

Please make sure to dress comfortably and are willing to get messy.

We are pleased to assist Students in the completion of their hours of community service.

Please note that all students are responsible for recording their hours and having their record sheet signed by the Volunteer Manager on duty or contact Amanda at amanda@habitatpei.ca

For Habitat ReStore, we offer on-site orientations Monday-Friday between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Our volunteer coordinator will reach out to you to schedule your orientation once your application form is received.

For our build sites, the orientation is available at the beginning of your shift. If you have further questions, you can email Amanda at amanda@habitatpei.ca
