Habitat for Humanity PEI is a non-profit organization working towards an Island community where everyone has an opportunity to live in a safe, good, and affordable home. With the help of our generous volunteers, the organization has provided 72 families with safe, decent, and affordable housing throughout Prince Edward Island. Habitat for Humanity PEI is one of 50 affiliates of Habitat for Humanity Canada.

What is the Restore?

The ReStore is a home décor, building supply, and home renovation store that accepts and resells new and gently used items. Proceeds from the ReStore fund the mission of Habitat for Humanity PEI, which is to construct Habitat homes for hard-working families in the province. Supporting the ReStore helps deserving Island families achieve the dream of homeownership.

We are looking for a team member who:

provides a great friendly service to our donors and customers by being courteous and helpful. They have a professional demeanor and a strong work ethic. They can communicate ideas and issues to their colleagues (employees and volunteers) and the ReStore Manager. Their eager attitude enables them to be a productive employee who takes initiative. They also bring innovative and solution-focused perspectives to all interactions.

What you will do:

The Truck driver job is a physically demanding position. In this role, you will be required to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You will work collaboratively with the ReStore team sharing the responsibility of the deployment, efficiency, and continuous improvement of the donor experience.

· Accepting donations that are in good sellable condition

· Be comfortable refusing to accept any broken or unsellable items/donations

· Help unload and load delivery truck

· Clean and process products and inventory received

· Accurately Deliver purchased products to customers

· When requested collect all necessary information from donors requiring tax receipts for their donations/inventory products

· Follow route planning software

· Assist all ReStore staff wherever needed including sales floor

· Assist with carry-outs and loading of customers vehicles

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle

· Team player and friendly attitude

Tuesday to Saturday
Weekend availability

The Donations and Inventory Coordinator job is a physically demanding position. In this role, you will be required to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You will work collaboratively with the ReStore team sharing the responsibility of the deployment, efficiency, and continuous improvement of the donor experience. The Donations and Inventory Coordinator is responsible and accountable specifically for:

· Accepting donations that are in good sellable condition

· Be comfortable refusing to accept any broken or unsellable items/donations

· Help unload donations from Donor’s vehicles and our delivery truck

· Clean and process products and inventory received

· Price inventory accordingly

· When requested collect all necessary information from donors requiring tax receipts for their donations/inventory products

· Test all products to ensure working order

· Assist all ReStore staff wherever needed including sales floor

· Assist with carry-outs and loading of customers vehicles

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the backroom and receiving area

· Team player and friendly attitude
